1. Purpose of Data Collection

Within the framework of the project Level Up — Digital for Youth, personal data of participants is collected and processed for the following purposes:

  • Organisation and implementation of project activities
  • Communication with participants and partners
  • Reporting to the Erasmus+ National Agency
  • Documentation and dissemination (e.g. photos, videos, publications)

2. Types of Data Collected

The following personal data may be collected:

  • Full name
  • Contact details (email, phone number)
  • Date of birth / age
  • Gender (optional)
  • Nationality
  • Participation details (activities attended)
  • Photos and videos (only with consent)

Only necessary data will be collected.

3. Legal Basis for Processing

The processing of your personal data is based on the following legal grounds under Article 6(1) of the GDPR:

  • Your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)) — for photos, videos and other optional dissemination uses
  • Performance of a task carried out in the public interest (Art. 6(1)(e)) — for project delivery and reporting
  • Legitimate interests of the partner organisations (Art. 6(1)(f)) — for documentation and quality assurance
Participants have the right to withdraw consent at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

4. Data Storage and Security

  • Personal data is stored securely (digital and/or physical)
  • Access is limited to authorised project staff
  • Appropriate technical and organisational measures are applied to protect data

Data will be kept only for as long as necessary for project and reporting purposes.

5. Data Sharing

Personal data may be shared only with:

  • Project partners (Türkiye and France)
  • Erasmus+ National Agency and European Commission (for reporting and audit purposes)

Data will not be shared with third parties outside the project without consent.

6. Use of Photos and Videos

Photos and videos may be taken during project activities for:

  • Reporting
  • Dissemination (website, social media, publications)
These materials will only be used if the participant has given consent. See the separate Participant Consent Form for media-use options.

7. Participants' Rights

According to the GDPR, participants have the right to:

  • Access their personal data
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of their data ("right to be forgotten")
  • Restrict or object to processing
  • Withdraw consent at any time
  • Lodge a complaint with a data protection authority
